Easter Sunday 10.30am
Easter 2 10.30am
Such great news everyone.
I can inform you that the Select Vestry having met on Tuesday March 23rd and prayerfully considered all options, have decided that the best date to re-open Church is
Sunday April 18th 2021 10.30am
We want to thank you for your patience in all the past weeks, your support of the online worship and the way you have adapted to the new normal. But, we will at last be able to be together in Church.
We will provide an online presence on Sunday for worship either on as live feed or a pre-recorded service.
Social distancing will be in place along with face masks and we are seeking clarification regarding singing behind masks.
You will still at present need to let Sally know by Thursday 15th as we only have 32 or so places.
We genuinely are convinced that this is the best of all the ‘cautious and careful’ approaches available.
Thank you once again for your support and prayer Chris & S.V.
Sunday April 18th 2021
Our Annual Church Meeting will take place on Sunday April 18th 2021 after Morning Worship.
You are welcome as Church Members to attend and the meeting will take place in church after Worship. Anyone on the Saintfield Parish Membership List can attend but only those on the Easter General Vestry Register can propose propose, second or vote.
Rev. Chris Pollock will chair the meeting.
Mrs. Caroline Kearney will answer questions concerning Parish Accounts. At present, our Parish Accounts are being independently examined but a draft set will be included with this News Sheet.
A hard copy can be requested from Sally and available from the Church Office on Tuesday & Thursday. All questions for the Select Vestry must be submitted to Stephen Erskine by April Friday 16th so that we can respond at the meeting.
The Select Vestry will be proposed and seconded for the next year and while the majority of the present Vestry are happy to remain, there are some spaces available.
If you are on the Easter General Vestry Register and would like to be considered for Select Vestry, please contact Stephen or Chris by Friday April 16th. No nominations will be taken from the floor on the day. If we need a vote, only those at the meeting can do so.
Please remember that to be a Trustee/Vestry Member, you will have to satisfy both Diocesan and N.I. Charity Commission requirements as well.
As this meeting will be after Church, you will have to register with Sally your intention to be in Church Worship on Sunday 18th.
Thanks. Chris Pollock (Vicar)
